I am an associate professor in Computer Education and Instructional Technology, and my work focuses on digitalization in education, digital education, and the transformation of teaching and learning through emerging technologies. My research explores how digital technologies redefine educational practices, teacher professional development, and learner engagement.

I hold bachelor’s degrees in Computer Engineering and Computer Science Education, along with an MSc and a PhD in Computer Education and Instructional Technology. Before moving into academia, I spent nineteen years at the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye as a system analyst and education coordinator, where I gained extensive experience at the intersection of technology, education, and institutional learning. I later served as a faculty member at Manisa Celal Bayar University.

I was also a visiting scholar at Johannes Kepler University Linz, where I conducted postdoctoral research on integrating computational thinking into STEM education. Currently, I hold a postdoctoral researcher position in Digitalization in Early Childhood Education at the University of Graz. My recent work focuses on AI, computational thinking, STEM education, and teacher training, with an emphasis on how emerging technologies can foster meaningful, equitable, and pedagogically grounded learning environments.

I collaborate with national and international research groups, have authored numerous scholarly publications, and have contributed to various international projects. I am also a co-founder of the Interdisciplinary Teacher Academy research group and collaborate with esteemed colleagues at Hacettepe University ONTOLAB and the JKU Linz STEAM Education research groups. These collaborations allow me to contribute to cutting-edge research and foster innovation in education.

Beyond my professional endeavors, I take immense pride in being the mother of three wonderful daughters, who inspire me every day.
